The NPD Conference in Connecticut is hosted by the state's chapters—AFP Connecticut and AFP Fairfield County—and will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at the Holiday Inn, Waterbury, Connecticut.
Both chapters offer scholarships to those who may not be able to attend the Connecticut conference without financial assistance. Preference goes to individuals who serve small organizations with limited resources.
In addition, AFP Connecticut Chapter offers a one-time award of $1,000 ($500 from the Connecticut chapter and $500 from AFP International) to attend the International Conference –a Chamberlain Scholarship.
AFP International Conference on Fundraising

A candidate must be a member of AFP for at least six months and a current Connecticut chapter member, be employed as a fundraising professional, or an executive director who devotes a substantial amount of time to fundraising, not have attended an International Conference in the past, and agrees to provide an evaluation report back to the Chapter.
AFP Connecticut also grants one $500 scholarship to those who meet the criteria and have received this scholarship in the last two years. Otherwise, the criteria and application is the same as for the Chamberlain Scholarship (noted above).
To be considered for either Chamberlain Scholarship, or the NPD® in Connecticut Conference Scholarship, submit a Conference Scholarship Application and required attachments by October 26, 2009.
Candidates should read the criteria for each type of scholarship carefully.

National Philanthropy Day® in Connecticut (statewide) Conference, and
the CFRE Review Course.
