Neuberger Museum of Art at Purchase College
Neuberger Museum of Art (the Neuberger) at Purchase College, State University of New York, is the premier museum of modern, contemporary, and African art in Westchester and Fairfield counties. Among the largest university museums in the nation, the Neuberger serves as a vital center of community engagement and a teaching museum, supporting lifelong learning and promoting the appreciation and enjoyment of the visual arts. The Neuberger is a place where the student, the scholar, the artist, and the art lover find common ground to experiment, question, and grow.
The Neuberger opened in 1974 with a core collection donated by one of the greatest private art collectors and philanthropists of the 20th century, Roy R. Neuberger. The collection contains important works by some of our best known artists, including Milton Avery, Romare Bearden, Willem de Kooning, Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Jackson Pollock. Today, the Neuberger has over 7,000 works of contemporary, modern, Latin American, and African art. Its critically acclaimed exhibitions draw local, regional, and international audiences, and its wealth of educational tours, lectures, and interactional programs engage the community.
The Neuberger seeks a collegial and collaborative fundraising leader to serve in the newly created position of Director of Major Gifts, Program and Exhibitions (the DMG).
